Poultry Production

Breeding:

The second step of poultry production is breeding facilities. There are 29 fully closed system breeding farms producing for Şenpiliç in the provinces of Sakarya, Eskişehir, Kocaeli, Istanbul and Adana.

In breeding farms, eggs obtained from flocks with high biosecurity and computer-controlled feeding, watering and ventilation are collected and delivered to the hatchery. Each egg is carefully checked through an effective health inspection program before being delivered to the hatchery. ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards are valid in breeding facilities, as in other facilities.

Hatchery:

With a capacity of 7,628,000 eggs/week Şenpiliç hatcheries are regarded as one of the largest in Europe. Eggs transported from breeding farms are sanitized and placed into specially designed temperature and humidity controlled hatching lines. Production is made according to ISO 9000 Quality Management System.

Broiler Farms:

Chicken in broiler farms are continually monitored through regular lab tests at Senpilic Laboratory throughout the growth phase. When the appropiate weight and age is reached, vets give a thorough check up on the broilers 72 hours before transfer to slaughterhouses. It is crucial that the broilers are raised in a healthy and sanitary environment and are a high quality corn-high balanced diet.
